The Wichita Falls High School Soccer Booster Club board met and established meeting dates and voted to lower membership fees. The new rate is $20.00 per family for a basic membership. Also added this year are a Silver membership for $30.00 which includes a T-shirt and a Gold membership at $40.00 that includes either two T-shirts or a Sweatshirt. The basic membership saves you $5.00 over last year, the Silver saves $10.00, and the Gold saves $15.00. Also announced at the meeting was the news that fewer organizations will be helping with the Haunted House, meaning the Booster Club will get a larger portion of the proceeds. Along with that comes more work for the club. Dawn Yeatts, President, said, "We will be staffing four or five rooms this year. I have a lot of ideas that will allow us to staff these with fewer kids, so I think it will work out just fine." The Haunted house will be open on Oct 18, 19, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. Coach Woodard discussed the need for two items. Backstops for the new soccer field and a small shed to store equipment. These items will be presented at a future Booster Club meeting for consideration. Woodard also gave a run down of the planned Tournaments and non-district games. Varsity tournaments will be played in Arlington, Midlothian and Wichita Falls. Non-district contests are slated for Abilene Wylie, Euless Trinity and Denton Ryan. Meetings of the Booster Club will be held in the Cafeteria beginning at 5:30. Planned meeting dates are: Sep 30 Oct 7 Oct 14 Oct 21 Nov 11 Dec 2 (meet the player night) |
